TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATION:
The calipers are made
from an improved aluminium alloy compared to the orginal LM4
and LM25TF.
The calipers have
a lower percentage of Copper, Manganese, Nickel and Lead content
and a higher Magnesium and Titanium content.
All calipers are hot
isostatic pressed. This densification of aluminium parts subjects
the castings to a high pressure at elevated temperatures. Plastic
deformation, creep mechanisms and diffusion processors ensure
that all pores and voids are closed and solidly welded into
an integral metal structure before shot blasting, PDF (Penetrant
Flaw Detection) and CNC machining.
